The Hawks celebrate their win against Spring Hill by lifting the District trophy to the sky.

The Hawks finished their regular season Friday night, winning the district championship and becoming the second team in school history to win 10-0.
“The journey getting there, it was a lot of hard work, some trials and tribulations, but overall good,” Terrell Pattin (10) said.

With playoffs around the corner, coaches are making changes to the lineups to prepare for their opponents. Several JV players got moved up to varsity, including sophomore Justin Daniels.
“It feels good to get moved up, it feels like all my hard work throughout the season is paying off, getting moved up at this time. I am going to have a lot of great experiences and a good run to state,” Justin (10) said.

Going 10-0 isn’t easy. The Hawks conduct after-school practices, weight room training, drills, and make strategies ⸺ but that’s not the only thing that makes them successful.
“We went 10-0 by staying Consistent. Coach Gibson is always pushing the coaches to be our best selves, and the players to overall just give effort every day. Coach Gibson is focused on bringing us together more than playing football and it translates onto the football field,” Coach Devin Wyatt said.

The senior players have gone through four football seasons. Throughout them, they’ve made long-lasting bonds and become better players.
“We have a really special senior class ⸺ they are really good football players, one of the most talented classes to come through Pleasant Grove, and on top of that they are just really good kids,” Coach Jonathan Darby said.

The Hawks will face Rusk at home this Friday night in the bi-district round of the playoffs. Season tickets will not be honored since it is a playoff game.
