With one more game to play in the first round of district, the Lady Hawks are 19-11 and 3-1 in district. They will face North Lamar this Tuesday.
Last year, the Lady Hawks split with the Lady Pantherettes and are looking to go 2-0 this year.
“I think last year, North Lamar’s team was really strong, and I feel like that whole game was so mental because of their record with us.” senior Maggie Prejean said. “I think this year, instead of using the loud, obnoxious student section, as a negative thing. We’re going to use that as a positive thing and turn on the heat and go.”
Many would say this is the most heated game of the district because of the history.
“I’m so excited to play them. This is one of my favorite games of the year,” Maggie said. “We have some things we need to work on before playing them but when we get them figured out, we will be good to go.”
